As part of the Erasmus+: Art & Design Without Borders exchange, we were visited by our sister organization, PRAHO! project, and spent several intense days filled with encounters, shared experiences, and collective reflection on how art in public space can function across different cities, cultures, and social contexts.

An important part of the program was our participation in CrossCon — a two-day gathering that connects art, research, and social innovation. A space where artists, researchers, activists, and creators of new solutions come together to explore new ways of collaboration.

These workshops gave us the opportunity to deepen our collaboration with Feral Design, a studio based in Malmö, with whom we are currently developing a new twin realization — a project that will take shape simultaneously in Prague and Stockholm.

Two cities, two different worlds… and we are curious to see what can emerge when they connect.

Another important part of the program was a workshop led by the Stockholm-based Studio PANK, which is also involved in the upcoming realization. Under their guidance, we had the opportunity to brainstorm different perspectives on the project and explore its practical implementation.

And as if that wasn’t enough, our visit to Stockholm coincided with Kulturnatt Stockholm — Sweden’s largest cultural night, when galleries, institutions, cultural centers, and experimental spaces open their doors to the public free of charge.

We visited Färgfabriken, a contemporary art and architecture space that has long been opening up important social topics through artistic practice. Another stop was Kollektivet Livet — a cultural center that brings together music, community, and contemporary art into one living organism.

And it was in these spaces that we were reminded once again of something essential to both PRAHO! project and STOCKHOLM! project:through art, people come closer to one another.

The entire week was a powerful impulse for us. The workshops, walks through the city, conversations, and brainstorming sessions reminded us how important it is to step outside familiar environments and allow ourselves to be challenged by new ways of thinking.

We are excited for new ideas, new collaborations, and an energy that will continue to shape our work. And we cannot wait to see where this shared creative process will take us next.
